Best bedding for your pet rabbit

Your pet rabbit needs proper bedding to both be comfortable in and to reduce odor from waste. While many people choose to use newspaper or kitty litter as rabbit bedding, these types of bedding choices can prove dangerous as they are toxic to pet rabbits. Since rabbits will chew on their bedding, choose a great bedding that can keep them safe while keeping their living space clean at the same time.

Straw is an inexpensive and comfortable bedding for rabbits, and can be purchased in small bales from any feed store locally. If you don't have access to straw bedding, the bedding in pellet form or wood chips for guinea pigs can be safe for rabbits as well. Avoid wood chips if your rabbit likes to chew, as they can ingest the chips or shavings and disrupt their sensitive digestive system.
