Feeding is an every changing part of baby's life. From breast milk and formula baby's menu soon evolves to include simple purees of cereals, fruits and veggies on up to tiny bite sized pieces and then regular food soon follows. With all those changes there's a lot of feeding-related products that make good gifts. This is part one of a three part article looking at just that. (Read part two and three.)
Mutsy's Grow Up! is a perfect gift because it looks cool and it's something for once baby gets a little bigger. Moms will get lots of stuff for use right away and will appreciate this one as baby gets bigger. The chair fits nicely on any dining room chair, is comfy, and safe. My 18 month old sits in this and loves it because she's at the perfect height at the table and can feel like a big girl. I love that even when she is skunky and leans waaaay over the chair sits firm and doesn't move. I was really excited to get rid of the high chair and just have this modern looking chair instead. It comes in six cool colors and is really affordable at under $60.
In the vast ocean of high chair choices, my pick is Chicco's Polly High Chair. I've used this one with each of my children and it's still in great shape to use for my third baby coming soon. It's got everything one could want in a high chair: wheels to move it around (a must for having baby sit by you as you cook up dinner in the kitchen), it reclines for use when baby falls asleep at the table (which has happened a lot with my girls), it is adjustable to lots of heights meaning you can use it at the dinner table or at the kitchen bar/counter, and the biggie: it's easy to clean. Plus they come in lots of cool designs and because the seat is double layered you get two looks out of one chair.
Burp cloths are a must have for both breast and bottle fed babes. Some good ones to try...
Burp Armor is an oversized, thick burp cloth that goes over the shoulder and doesn't fall off or bunch up, making it easy to use and it catches all the goo. These were invented by a dad who learned from experience what a burp cloth needs to be.
Handy Burp'ems are a mom-invented and nifty new type of high quality burp cloth. They have a protective covering for your hand and a pocket at the bottom for any runaway dribbles. They come in lots of fun fabrics and you can get them with baby's name embroidered on them too.
Retrofit baby burp cloths are customizable and cool. They're thick and old fashioned with a modern edge. And they're made in the USA and have matching onesies available. They come in "milk cap" and "soap box" designs.
Ritzy Bitzy Bottle Dribbler is a totally different type of dribble catcher. This one goes around the neck of the bottle to catch both baby spit and leaking formula or breast milk. They're really convenient and quite handy. Plus they're mom invented!
Bella Tunno has a great burpie bundle for those looking for high style in their baby goo catching products. The gift pack includes coordinating burp cloth, paci holder and bib. All can be monogrammed for that extra high fashioned baby.
