All right people, Halloween is just a few days away and we all know what that means. For many people diets and the no candy rule gets thrown out the window on this day. We all know that it's hard enough to find healthy candies as it is but when you're kids come home with baskets filled with Snickers, M & Ms and of course candy corn, the temptation to dig in and much away is harder than you think.
If you're going to dip into the candy baskets choose healthier options versus the more sugar and calorie laden treats. For example did you know that half a pack of Skittles has more sugar in it than a scoop of Haagen Dazs Cookies and Cream ice cream (half a scoop!!) or that a Baby Ruth has just as many calories as a hamburger? And just because a candy bar is smaller and labeled 'fun size' doesn't man it's any better for you.
