Best Albums of 2009: Mew's Forgotten Gem

Last week I wrote a handy little list of the "best albums of 2009." I wish to amend that list with a forgotten gem: Mew's No More Stories / Are Told Today / I'm Sorry / They Washed Away // No More Stories / The World Is Grey / I'm Tired / Let's Wash Away. Yes, that is the full album title. This prog-indie-psych masterpiece will satisfy both your pop desires and your more cerebral yearnings. Denmark's Mew has made many excellent album in the past, but this latest one reaches for even higher ledges. Whether it's their best or just close to is up for debate. But the overall quality isn't. It just happens Mew is playing the Henry Fonda tonight. If you're around, check them out. They are excellent live. However, this show is sold out. Scalpers will probably be able to assist though.
