The Easter bunny is coming to DFW starting this weekend, April 5, 2014. Between this weekend and Easter Sunday, you'll have plenty of ways to collect eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny and even get in a run event so you won't feel bad about eating all of that Easter candy. So grab your basket and get ready for some of the best Easter activities in the metroplex.

Frisco's 22nd Annual Easter Eggstravaganza–April 5
Where: Toyota Soccer Center–9200 World Cup Way (Fields 9-14)
When: 1-4 p.m.; Egg Hunt: 2 p.m.

Ages 12 and under are invited to hop on over to the fields at Toyota Soccer Center, located behind Toyota Stadium where there will be over 80,000 Easter eggs for the taking. There will also be bounce houses, face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Grapevine's Easter Family Fun Night– April 6
Where: Grapevine Convention Center– 1209 S. Main St. Grapevine, TX 76051
When: 5 to 9 p.m.
Price: $5

Everyone's invited to an epic night of indoor fun with face painting, bounce house, Body Talk Fit-Cardio Dance Party and shopping from 30 spectacular vendors.

Frisco's Annual Aqua Egg Hunt–April 12
Where: Frisco Athletic Center Indoor Aquatic Center–5828 Nancy Jane Lane
When: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Price: $12 for residents and $15 for non-residents

Bring the kids in their swimsuits (2 ½ to 10 years of age) for a swimming style egg hunt in the pool. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be crafts and photo ops with the Easter Bunny and other roaming characters. Spots are limited, register online in advance until April 11 and in person until 9:45 the day of the event.

The Easter Bunny is coming to Heritage Park to hunt for hidden treasure filled eggs with kids ages 2-10 years.

Sachse Flashlight Egg Hunt–April 12

When: 9 p.m.

Older kids, ages 5 to 13, have their own egg hunt in the dark, so make sure you bring your flashlight for this one. Anyone who can find the Golden Egg and wins a special prize.

Sachse Doggie Bone Hunt–April 12
Where: Heritage Park 4408 Hudson Dr.
When: 8:15 p.m.

Dogs want to have fun too, so bring Fido along for his own Easter bone hunt. There will be doggie treats, prizes, and great fun. Dogs will be divided by weight and MUST be on a leash at all times. There will be contests for best dressed and cutest. Bring a camera and get a photo of the Easter Bunny with your pet.

Easter at the Ranch for Families with Special Needs–April 12

Join the Easter Bunny for free family fun day with an egg hunt, crafts, games, and refreshments for families with special needs.

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be hiding thousands of eggs at Nash Farm for a hopping good time. Special prize eggs will be hidden in each age division. There will be five different events by age division. Kids will love the face painting and other activities such as bounce-houses, petting zoo, hay rides and more.

Easter Fun at Sea Life Aquarium–April 12, 16 &19

Hang out with the Scuba Bunny as he hops to the bottom of the ocean tank to hide eggs for a SEA LIFE diver to find. Kids are encouraged to help point the diver in the right direction. Scheduled dives occur at 11 a.m. on April 12, 16 and 19. Other Easter-themed activities include a special aquarium-wide scavenger hunt for eggs hidden in various tanks.

Teens will totally enjoy hunting in the dark for eggs that are filled with cash, coupons, and gift cards for eggs. Don't forget the flashlights!

Denton Easter Eggstravaganza–April 19

Toddlers through Grade 5 will enjoy everything from a bounce house, arts and crafts, and a fun magic show to a hunt for over 21,000 eggs and a photo op with the Easter Bunny.

Nothing is nicer than picnicking in Lee Park when it's a gorgeous day outside, especially when there's live music and a parade of pooches to get everyone in a fun mood.
