Besiktas defeated Bursaspor away from home last night in a game that was masterminded by both the players and head coach Slaven Bilic. The home side could not do much to attack or even defend as they ended up losing the game 3-0 in front of their home crowd.
The action went as follows:
14' Gokhan Tore sends a long ball towards the left side of the 18 yard box to Olcay Sahan who squares the ball to a wide open Hugo Almeida who slots the ball home. 1-0
37' Captain Tomas Sivok jumps over everyone to head home the corner kick which hit the ground first thenbounced in over the keeper. 2-0
64' The ball is lobbed into the area then headed down by Sivok towards Julian Escude who volleys home from close range. 3-0
Besiktas defended as a team from start to finish. When a player lost the ball, he and three other guys went after the opponent to win possession right back. There were almost no holes in the defense of the Black Eagles which is why Bursa struggled so much to create much offensively.
Besiktas did manage to score three unanswered, but honestly, they could have won this match by at least five goals as they did manage to miss a plethora of other opportunities.
