Beshalach: Take that first step and see

Chaos is composed of various thoughts of diminishing returns.  The connections are loose between these thoughts and yet the sheer preponderance of them makes it difficult to get out from under its influences.  The guiding light of Hashem via Moshe provides that new sense of unity with purpose that opens up the way for freedom from the old ways of negative thinking.  However the residue of negativity stills resides.

Shemot 14:5. It was reported to Pharaoh that the people had fled; and Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people, and they said, What is this that we have done, that we have released Israel from serving us?

The thing is that it is own attachments to negativity that have caused our immersion and when we do finally break free this does not mean we will be able dismiss it entirely.  It lurks there and yes will try and reattach itself to our Consciousness in the ways we have become inured to.

Initially there is the shock seeing that which you thought you left behind.  It can cause despair and a longing to return to a state certainty albeit negativity simply because you have not become established enough in the new groove to have confidence in moving forward.

Shemot 14:11. They said to Moses, Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us to die in the desert? What is this that you have done to us to take us out of Egypt?

Still there is hope because the taste of freedom beckons for even more of the same and Moshe reminds the people as our own good thoughts will remind us of how it is that we have arrived where we are in the first place.

Shemot 14:13. Moses said to the people, Don't be afraid! Stand firm and see the Lord's salvation that He will wreak for you today, for the way you have seen the Egyptians is [only] today, [but] you shall no longer continue to see them for eternity.

The strength of having that center in this case Moshe cannot be overstated.  It is a determination to achieve your freedom from negativity and be guided by these new insights that Consciousness have awakened within you.

Shemot 14:14. The Lord will fight for you, but you shall remain silent.

In order for these new insights to take root and have a chance to flourish the mind has to quiet its doubts and let go into the awareness that is becoming.  Hashem then acts within this quiet place awakening the vital connection between above and below so that once and for all we are able to move on leaving negativity and chaos behind.

Shemot 14:15. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel and let them travel.

Here is the key element in every progress we may ever make.  We are not apart from Hashem.  Our actions mirror the above and because of this we have to take those first steps forward trusting in Hashem simply because in order to leave anything behind we first have to set our sights upon what is ahead and then move forward.

After all it becomes a matter of determining that this new perspective is how things are going to be.  Making that important first step cements your connection with Hashem as you become a channel for the divine to operate within.  B”H
