If you love berries, but don't want to spend tons of money buying them each summer, then consider growing your own. Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries are considered the "Big 3" in the berry world and each grows great in Vermont. To get you started with a berry plantation or a container filled with fruits, come to this workshop I'll be giving on Saturday. We'll cover variety selection, siting the berry patch, growing techniques, fertilizing, watering, and pest control. I'll get you going in the right direction for berry growing this spring.
