'Bering Sea Gold': Cast member commits suicide

John Bunce, a cast member of Discovery's “Bering Sea Gold,” committed suicide. According to a March 15 report by Inside TV, the next episode, “Gold Stress,” will let all fans of “Bering Sea Gold” what happened to John Bunce.

According to the last episode of “Bering Sea Gold,” Zeke Tenhoff was the one who called 911. Zeke Tenhoff, another “Bering Sea Gold” cast member went to see John Bunce. When John Bunce opened the door, he shot himself in the head.

“I've watched 'Bering Sea Gold' since it started,” Stephen Sutton, from Oklahoma City, said. “I didn't see this coming. I was really surprised. It is very sad.”

Producers were careful when filming this situation. No one was filmed that didn't want to be filmed. They waited until Zeke Tenhoff and Emily Riedel, the two cast members of “Bering Sea Gold,” to talk before filming them.

The aftermath of John Bunce's suicide will be dealt with in future episodes. Zeke Tenhoff mentioned that one of John Bunce's “demons” was alcohol and that Bunce lived his life “in extremes.”
