Berenstain Bears author is coming to Lexington

Parents, it is about time to round up the kids and head over to Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington Green so the kiddos can meet the voice behind some of the pages of the Berenstain Bears stories. Berenstain Bears author Michael Berenstain, the son of the legendary Jan and Stan, will be at Joseph-Beth on Wednesday, November 11th, at 6pm. It should be a fun night because you’ll get to hear a reading from his books and you’ll have the chance to get your books signed.

Berenstain will be reading selections from The Berenstain Bears Give Thanks, The Berenstain Bears Faithful Friends and The Berenstain Bears’ Christmas Tree. Berenstain has been writing since the 1970s according to his bio, but it wasn’t until the late 1980s that he started helping out with the family creation. Christmas will be here soon and a signed copy would make for an awesome gift for anyone who has grown up with the Berenstain Bears, child or adult alike.

If you can’t make it to Joseph-Beth on Wednesday, November 11th, Berenstain will be at Crossroads Christian Church at the Andover campus on Thursday, November 12th for a children’s ministry for preschoolers, from 12pm-1pm. According to the website, the event is free and there will be a “drawing demonstration, book signing, character appearance and more!” The website also suggests bringing a pack lunch. Be sure to add one or both of these fun events to your calendar this week.
