On June 10-14 and June 17-21, 2013, Berea High School will be the site of “Camp Theater” put on by Great Lakes Theater. Students have the option of signing up for either or both weeks of camp with different material being covered in both weeks. No auditions are required and the camps are opened to all children ages 4-18 regardless of their experience or ability and will be divided into groups according to their age.
Some of the many subjects featured at the camps will be:
• Movement
• Mask Making
• Shakespeare
• Improvisation
• Stage Combat
• Acting
Classes will run each day from Monday through Friday and promise to immerse the students in a series of interactive and educational theater based activities geared for their age and ability level. This is an opportunity for children to learn directly from the Great Lakes Theater professional teaching staff in a safe and supportive atmosphere while having fun doing it.
