Bentley's long-awaited ultra luxury SUV gets green light

The movers and shakers at Volkswagen have finally given the green light to produce Bentley's first opulent SUV, the EXP 9F according to a German newspaper says Automotive News.

VW which is the parent company of the pinnacle of luxury automaker, just a couple of weeks ago, updated the press via Bentley's CEO, Wolfgang Schreiber. He discussed the brand's first-ever SUV stating that there would be a radical exterior redesign from the concept version that was showcased at last year's Geneva Motor Show. Schreiber says that under the hood of the SUV there could reportedly be an eight-cylinder engine and possibly an optional W-12.

As far as pricing? The word on the street with regards to pricing for the 'world's most luxurious SUV' point to a starting price of around $271,000.

Bentley has already made it known that they plan to move 5,000 units of its pricey 4 x 4 per year. The insider aka name for the production version of the fabulicious SUV is 'Falcon' and it is expected to make it grand entrance, reportedly, sometime around 2016.
