Bensalem Police are working to find a male who is wanted for attempting to abduct a female as she played on a swing set at the Strueble Elementary School, on Bensalem Blvd. The incident happened July 30, 2014 just after 3:15 p.m. and the girl was able to fight off her attacker and get away.
According to Sgt. Bill McVey of the Bensalem Police Dept., "We are working to get a good description from her". Detectives on scene said that the girl will be re interviewed to get a more definitive description . Crime scene units were on the playground as police looked for clues around the playground.
Due to scene contamination before the arrival of police, a dog was not able to be deployed to search for a scene. School is not in session and there is no staff at the school. The playground remains open year round for use by twp. residents. Overhead, news helicopters circled overhead trying to catch police activity . Area residents were shocked to find something like this happen in their usually quiet neighborhood. They would pull their vehicles to the side of the road to look at the police activity.
