Good vibe hip hop is making a comeback as Benny G gets set to release his yet to be titled debut album. Examiner.com caught up with him for an interview recently. Check it out embedded above or at this link:
Benny has been honing his skills for years now, and is ready to breakout. Now under the wing of industry veteran Anthony Judah as his manager, Benny has been spotted at shows all over Southern California. He's been hanging out with Travis Barker and droppin rhymes on stage with the likes of Hirie.
Benny and Anthony have assembled a talented cast of artistic characters to bring this musical vision to reality. From J-Fool, to singer Breezy Madrigal, drummer Alex Bartolomy, musician/producer Ryan Mathis, the people are in place to make an outstanding album. The songs Stories From a Notepad, and Dont Wake Me Up are already up on Benny's Reverb Nation page [link below]. The combination of Benny's flows and Breezy's sultry singing make a magical combination of styles that is sure to find happy ears among music fans far and wide. Also up on the Reverb page is the now classic collaboration between Benny, J-fool, Nick Lopez, and Aaron Halford... For The Music. The video for that song has over 11,000 plays on Youtube in just over a year. Pretty solid stats for an indie song. Check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3ivBDM33Cw
When he isnt making music Benny is also a sponsored surfer. Riding for San Diego's own Red Eye Wear sunglasses, as well as T. Patterson Surf Boards, among others.
Benny and his crew were a fun bunch to hang out with, and Examiner.com is looking forward to a long future of music from them. While they are based out of Orange County, they have roots in San Diego and friends in San Francisco and beyond. Expect next year to be very road heavy for this bunch as they support the upcoming release...
