May 2, the New England Revolution announced that on Tuesday, May 3, U.S. Men's National Team midfielder and new signing Benny Feilhaber will appear at McGreevy's from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to meet fans at a #WelcomeBennytoBoston party. Feilhaber will sign autographs and take photos with fans. Members of the Revolution front office will also be in attendance.
All are welcome.
Feilhaber's background
The 26 year-old, 5'9 midfielder has 38 caps with the USMNT, featured in three FIFA World Cup 2010 games in South Africa, and competed with the 2008 Olympic Team.
Feilhaber was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to the United States when he was six years old. He attended UCLA for two years before leaving to play in Germany with Hamburger's reserve team in 2005. He made his first team appearance for the club in 2006 and after nine appearances signed with Derby County in 2007.
After Derby was relegated at the end of that season, Feilhaber signed with AGF Aarhus on a free transfer. He made 54 appearances and scored five goals in two and a half seasons there before signing with MLS.
