When was the last time you dined at Benihana where the chefs cook on the table right before your eyes in a Samurai sword –like performance? If you’re like us, probably not for awhile. For some, dining at one of the many restaurants in the venerable nationwide chain is a special occasion.
So if you haven’t been in some time, September’s a good month to go back. The restaurants are offering chef specials of filet mignon and chicken for two for just $50 and Volcano Chicken with Noodles for $17. Both entrees come with its signature onion soup and salad, hibachi shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables, homemade dipping sauces, steamed rice and Japanese hot green tea. The filet mignon and chicken for two is smothered in fresh mushrooms and crunchy sesame seeds while the Volcano Chicken and Noodles comes grilled in a fiery seven-spice sauce with green onions and served with udon noodles.
The chef specials are offered at most Benihana restaurants except Las Vegas, Hawaii and some international locations.
For my Los Angeles readers, Benihana Beverly Hills is located at 38 N La Cienega Boulevard, 323- 655-731, for other locations around the US go to www.benihana.com.
