The Bengals delivered a beat down to the inept New York Jets by a lopsided 49-9 score. The Bengals maintain their AFC North lead with a 6-2 record. The Steelers and Browns both lost today and continue to stay in the AFC North cellar. Bengals QB Andy Dalton threw a career high five touchdowns and passed for 325 yards. Dalton finished with his third straight 300 yard game.
Bengals WR Marvin Jones had a career day with four touchdowns and 122 yards. His counterpart WR A.J. Green caught three passes for 115 yards.
The Bengals defense dominated the game and kept the Jets to only three field goals.
Also, Bengals S Chris Crocker and CB Adam Jones both returned interceptions for touchdowns.Unfortunately, the Bengals defense lost LB Rey Maualuga to a concussion and S Taylor Mays to a shoulder injury. The severity of their injuries is unknown.
Additionally, the Bengals offense lost T Andrew Whitworth to a knee injury and WR Mohamed Sanu with a shoulder injury. The Bengals won’t have much time for their injured starters to get rested as they prepare for a Thursday night game in Miami against the Dolphins.
