The Cincinnati Bengals announced today that the NFL has named Bengals QB Andy Dalton as the AFC Offensive Player of the Month. Earlier this week, teammate WR Marvin Jones, earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week award. Not only did he not lose a single game in October, he also posted excellent numbers.
He completed 68 percent of his passes (89 of 131) for 1,246 yards and 11 touchdowns. Four of those 11 touchdowns went to WR Marvin Jones in their win over the NY Jets.
For tonight’s game against the Miami Dolphins, the Bengals activated WR Andrew Hawkins from the Reserve/Injured list. Hawkins was injured through the first eight games of the season. Last season, Hawkins caught four touchdowns for 533 yards.
The Bengals also brought DE DeQuin Evans back to the team after they cut him on Tuesday. He has been assigned to the practice squad. Evans was suspended for the first half of the season for violating the league’s performance enhancing substance rule.
