The Bengals escaped New York with a 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. The Bengals had control of the game until the fourth quarter after allowing the Bills back into the game. The Bills came back with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to erase their deficit.
A touchdown pass from Bills QB Thad Lewis to WR Marquise Goodwin tied the game with under two minutes left in the game. In overtime, Bengals RB Brandon Tate returned a punt for 29 yards to set up the Bengals on their winning drive.
Bengals K Mike Nugent won the game with a 43-yard field goal to win the game. With the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns both losing, the Bengals victory put the Bengals in sole ownership of first place in the AFC North.
Bengals QB Andy Dalton had a productive afternoon. He had three touchdown passes and 341 yards passing. Opposing QB Thad Lewis passed for 216 yards and threw two touchdown passes.
