Apples help to support weight control

Depending on the size, an apple contains between 50-80 calories and are packed with fiber. A member of the super food group, apples also contain a good dosage of vitamin C as well as other antioxidants.

Apples are linked to a healthy heart

Research has shown that apples help to prevent heart disease. A published study in the Journal of Functional Food found that middle-aged adults who ate one apple every day for four weeks succeeded in lowering levels of cholesterol by 40 percent.
