Ben Folds will be playing a special concert Wednesday, June 25, 2014 Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia with the National Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra will be conducted by Steven Reineke who is the music director for the New York Pops along with his work with the NSO. Ben Folds is probably best known for his work with Ben Folds Five, his solo work, his movie soundtrack work, and recently his television judging on The Sing Off.

The two hour concert will showcase several songs from Ben Folds Five and Ben Folds solo catalog. However, the songs will have the added depth of the orchestra. In other tour stops he has added a small choir and I would imagine Ben Folds will have a talented choir along with him at this stop. The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame member Ben Folds will also be highlighting a new piano concerto as well.

What better place for a musician to explore his musical passions than Wolf Trap? The venue is the only one that is a National Park dedicated to the performing arts. A venue know where the arts come out to play. You can find out more about this legendary venue at their website where you can find ticket information and a calender of other incredible shows. You can learn more about the National Symphony Orchestra at their site. You can find out more about the talented and creative musician Ben Folds at his site as well.

It promises to be a night to remember under the stars at Wolf Trap. The talents of a possible choir, the skills of the National Symphony Orchestra, and the creative musicianship of Ben Folds fusing alternative rock with symphonic music and creating new classical style music. Offering one night of a special music melting pot at Wolf Trap.
