After admitting he is not a "very present dad" back in September, Ben Affleck was photographed taking his two daughters out on Sunday.
During an interview with Details magazine, Ben revealed that he's often an absent father, not being there much for his children. And possibly to change his image in the media after those cold comments, Ben was spotted with his two girls as they all went shopping this weekend.
Oscar's best director nominations include new and established talent
Ben told Details that he loves his work and it often takes precedence over his family. "I am not very present in the rest of my life. My wife's very patient. She does everything," Ben added.
While Ben said he tries to spend time with the kids, his mind often reverts back to work, which keeps him occupied most of the time. He also said he would never be a stay-at-home-dad because he loves his job too much.
"Work is very important to me. I like my work," Ben continued, "But I need my work to mean something to me in order for me to not be home with them."

In order to keep up with his Hollywood Golden Boy image, Ben probably realized he needed to change his aloof attitude towards the kids. Allowing the paps to photograph him with his two girls as they shopped together is a good way to score some positive image points.
