Ben Affleck shaves his beard after his big win. The "Argo" director reportedly shaved it during an Oscars 2013 party. US Weekly got the inside scoop on Feb. 26. He attended a late-night party with wife Jennifer Garner and friend George Clooney.
Affleck did it himself, according to a friend of the actor and director. His wife, Jennifer Garner, brought the clippers with her to the party. Even though it sounds insane, the reason behind it is not that insane.
A source told E! Online that he wanted to mark the end of a chapter in his life. It was his way of celebrating his Academy Awards win.
A source said that Affleck wanted to shave his beard in the hallway of the restaurant. Hopefully, he cleaned up all of the hair after. It does seem like a strange place to shave. Maybe he should've used the public restroom instead.
Ben and Jen also got rowdy at the party. They celebrated with night away Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Kiebler. Everyone apparently had a good time that night.
George is the one sporting the beard now. He showed up to the Oscars 2013 red carpet with a gray bushy beard. He was on top of many worst dressed lists because of it. It's not known if he grew the facial hair for a role.
