Only a few hours after winning the Best Picture Oscar for “The Argo,” Ben Affleck’s good luck charm had done its purpose and was ready to be discarded.
And who brought the clippers to the Oscars after-party? Ben Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner, of course.
While 40-year-old Jennifer Garner reportedly said that she was not the only person who was tired of the beard but also the kids, 7-year-old Violet, 4-year-old Seraphina, and 1-year-old Sam, and some relatives, one wonders who really prefers Ben Affleck’s smooth face.
At least Jennifer was not alone in her quest for a beardless hubby. US Weekly reported on Feb. 26, 2013, that fellow “Argo” producer George Clooney, some other friends, and colleagues were also “egging him on.”
So now the two-time Academy Award winner, who also won Best Director at the BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards, is said to be a beardless again but so far no pictures have emerged.
On Feb. 26, 2013, the Los Angeles Times wrote, “Congrats, Ben! The clean-shaven look has always suited you.”
