Ben Affleck: Batman's penis size joke at Producer's Guild takes center stage

On Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, the Producers' Guild Awards were not available to be seen on any major television network, but there is still plenty to talk about on the morning after. US Magazine reports that Batman himself, Ben Affleck, was the center of attention as a joke about the size of his penis had the entire room murmuring and blushing.

Ben Affleck was certainly the center of attention.

The future Caped Crusader in "Batman vs. Superman" was the subject of conversation when TV producer Chuck Lorre (Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men) headed up on stage. Lorre received the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television and he first thanked everyone for a nice ovation.

During his acceptance speech, Lorre randomly spoke of standing side-by-side with Affleck while at the urinals at the past week's Golden Globes. That was when the evening took a turn.

"Yes, I peeked, and yes, he can play Batman," Lorre, 61, said in admiration, later making another reference to a "Ben Affleck chubby."

At first, things were said to have been a bit awkward in the room, but then laughter broke out.

It wasn't until later that Affleck actually got on stage to present the award for the Best Picture, and he was able to comment back to Lorre. Affleck, in true fashion, gracefully accepted the compliment.

"I want to thank someone tonight. Evidentially, I was in the bar briefly and I came back to my seat and someone said, 'You know there was a guy on stage who said you have a big dick,'" the married father of four told the crowd.

"I was like, 'You know? Isn't that always how it goes. The one time it happens, I miss it.' Thank you very much," continued Jennifer Garner's hubby. "Whoever you are God bless you. I'm often confused with Matt Damon but rarely with Michael Fassbender, so it's a nice change."

Fassbender did show it all in the film "Shame," but that didn't matter because the room uproariously approved of Affleck's joke back to Lorre.

Recently, "Batman vs. Superman" was set for a summer 2015 release, but has been delayed. It now will open the following year on May 6, 2016.
