Our Nashville Belmont Bruins fought a valiant battle for the ball in their latest March Madness college basketball game against Arizona. Sadly for the Bruins, they did not come home to Nashville with a winning score.
We've watched the games this year with the wish that one of our Nashville teams would bring home the championship, and the Belmont Bruins did bring home the OVC championship, to travel on to the NCAA games.
Belmont University has an excellent athletics department, and we keep in touch with what's going on with both the men's and the women's sports through their Facebook web page for the University.
Now that Belmont is out of the March Madness final quest, we still have one more Tennessee team, which is from Memphis, which we can root for. There is also Western Kentucky close by and still in the March Madness running.
