St. Patrick's Day was celebrated in style--and lots of green--as members of the Bellevue Meetup group formally known as "New to Nashville (or want to meet new friends) in Bellevue" gathered to celebrate the Irish holiday.
Everyone is Irish
They say everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, and that certainly was true for the 14 adults and two children who came to O'Charley's in Bellevue, Tenn. for a St. Paddy's Day dinner.
The Wearin' o' the Green
The table was decorated with gold shamrock coins and green mints by Kathryn, the Meetup event hostess, and most of the guests wore green: green scarves, green ties, green sweaters, green tops, green vests, green jewelry and even green fingernails. See the slideshow for photos of the group in their festive green.
Soon the table was loaded with salmon, steak, salad, and pasta as guests enjoyed O'Charley's variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, but that didn't stop the laughter and conversations as the guests enjoyed the fellowship perhaps even more than the meal.
"It was a very enjoyable evening," commented Lisa Cloyd of Fairview. "It was nice to meet new people and always a pleasure to see those I've met before."
Group organizer Pamela Davis-Bonti agreed, saying, "So much fun! Wonderful people!"
