Bellevue ladies group hosts disappointing March event

A Bellevue ladies group held a small local showcase of products on Sat., March 8, 2014. According to the event organizer, a disappointing seven or eight visitors showed up for the March event which featured a small showing of only six vendors.

While the organizer hopes the showcase will grow, some vendors have pointed to problems such as poor communication, disorganization and broken promises as reasons why they won't be participating in future show attempts.

"Miscommunication problems is putting it mildly," states one former vendor and Bellevue resident. "Not only did she apparently not read my messages before firing off almost nonsensical replies, but she went back on some of her promises after receiving two weeks of trade-out services from me for which I received nothing in return except some smart-aleck parting messages."

Caveat Emptor as they say: Let the buyer (or trader) beware.

The organizer, who says she just does the events for fun, still hopes to make something happen. Some of the local vendors and services she says might be on hand in the future include:

Rodan + Fields Skin Care, Scentsy, Thirty-One, Plexus Slim, Initials Inc., Origami Owl, Vault Denim, Simply Said, manicures; spray tanning, etc. These are vendors the organizer says local attendees might expect to see at possible future showcases...or maybe not.

It's too bad this event didn't take off as Bellevue could use more networking opportunities.
