With a UV Index of 9 which is ranked "Very High," you might think a boat out on the water would be the last place for good skin care, beauty and anti-aging tips. However, on Sat., April 27 that is exactly what occurred when several Bellevue and West Nashville residents were invited on a yacht cruise on the Cumberland to learn more about Rodan + Fields Dermatologists skin care. The cruise was co-hosted by the Bellevue Area Examiner.
Of course, everyone had been instructed to wear their sunscreen and sunglasses to protect themselves from the sun's rays before coming on the cruise, and the upper deck had a protective canopy to shield the guests from the sun's photo-aging rays.
The group met at West Nashville's Commodore Yacht Club at 1 p.m. and enjoyed a scenic cruise down the Cumberland River, passing the home of country music artist Kenny Chesney before stopping at an eagles' news where one of the majestic birds was perched, watching out for its young. Guests brought snacks, the hosts brought beverages and snacks and most of the outing was fellowship and fun in the sun.
The boat turned around to make its way back to the marina but stopped a little ways out for a short presentation on the Rodan + Fields products and business. Many of the guests won prizes from Essentials Lip Shield SPF 25 to Reverse Sunscreen, vitamin D tablets to microdermabrasion paste.
