According to a March 8 report from MMA Frenzy, Bellator 92 saw the Season 8 Middleweight Tournament Semifinals take place at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif, with Doug Marshall and Brett Cooper reigning supreme in their bouts to earn spots in the finals.
Come-from-behind victories were the theme at Bellator 92, as Cooper pulled off a miracle third-round knockout of Dan Kramer, and Mike Richman managed to persevere even though he struggled through part of his bout against Alexandre Bezerra.
Between fights, Bellator 92 also featured a steamy segment called "Sweet Submissions," where ring girls Jade Bryce and Mercedes Terrell demonstrated how to properly sink in a triangle choke.
The segment had strong lesbian undertones, as Bryce placed her legs over Terrell's shoulders, and the latter ended up with her face tucked close to the former's fancy lady parts.
It's clear that Bellator MMA wanted to play up the sexy angle for "Sweet Submissions," as they would have otherwise hired legitimate mixed martial artists to provide the triangle-choke lesson rather than ring girls, if the purpose of the segment was truly to give folks a lesson on applying the popular submission hold.
Terrell even seemed to admit "Sweet Submissions" was a play on sex appeal, as she posted a naughty Instagram caption to go along with the photo of her face in Bryce's crotch.
