Bellator 110: 'Rampage' Jackson vs Christian M’Pumbu weigh-in results

According to a Feb. 27 report from Sherdog, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson weighed in a half-pound heavy for his Bellator 110 fight against Christian M’Pumbu.

Jackson, who tipped the scales at 206.5 pounds, has two hours to lose the excess weight in order to get down to the contracted requirement of 205 pounds.

"The last organization I was with kind of sapped the love I had for MMA but it's starting to come back with Bellator. There are a few things I'm not 100 percent happy with," Jackson said of Bellator. "Some things are better than others and some things [Viacom] said they were going to do, I wished they'd worked out better. But Bellator itself, they treat me with respect. My relationship with Bellator, which is who I have contact with on a day-to-day basis anyway, the way the promotion and Bjorn Rebney treat me is with respect.

"There are a few things outside of their control that I want worked on that I'm not worried about now because I'm focused on my fight but I'm sure those guys will work on it and fix it for me when we do talk. My body is feeling good and I'm more excited to fight than I have been in awhile."

Since Jackson's fight isn't a title bout, he is allowed to weigh one pound over the 205-pound limit. In all likelihood, Jackson will be able to get down to 206 pounds on his second weigh-in attempt.

As for M’Pumbu, he weighed in well under the 205-pound light heavyweight requirement. M'Pumbu checked in at a lean 199.75 pounds, six and a quarter pounds under the maximum allowance.

In the Bellator 110 co-main, both fighters had no problem making weight. "King Mo" Lawal and Mikhail Zayats both checked in at 205 pounds on the bot.

Also on the Bellator 110 main card, former UFC star Diego Nunes (144.25) battles Matt Bessette (145.25) and standout striker Mike Richman (144.75) fights Desmond Green (145.75).

Goiti Yamauchi, a fast-rising Brazilian sensation, opens the Spike-televised main card with a bout against Will Martinez. Both men made weight, as Yamauchi was 145.25 and Martinez was 144.75.

In Bellator 110 preliminary card action, Daniel Weichel (145.25) takes on Scott Cleve (145), Andrew Fisher (145) fights Saul Almeida (146.25) and Ryan Quinn (155.5) challenges Andrew Calandrelli (156.75).
