The recent Bellagio robbery netted an armed gunman tens of thousands in cash and police are urging anyone with information to contact authorities. Following an initial investigation by detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department in Las Vegas, police have identified a person of interest in the robbery at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino on Friday night.

A July 26 report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal says that at approximately 8:30 Friday night, a man with a gun approached a cashier and demanded money, the employee complied and the suspect fled on foot with an estimated $30,000.

Las Vegas police responded to the casino shortly after the robbery took place, but there were no signs of the gunman but security cameras were able to capture the suspect on video.

“Unfortunately the teller was pretty much traumatized by the whole thing,” said a police officer who responded to the scene. “It’s pretty horrific having a gun stuck in your face.”

The person of interest in the Bellagio robbery is identified as 32-year-old Jesse Jones. Police described Jones as a 6-foot-2-inch white male weighing approximately 215 pounds. Authorities say he should be easily identified because he has a tattoo above his eyes that reads, "WHITE PRIDE."

As the Las Vegas Review-Journal explained, this is not the first robbery at the award-winning casino. On December 15, 2010, a helmet-wearing gunman robbed the casino of $1.5 million in chips. Anthony Carleo, son of former Las Vegas Municipal Judge George Assad, was convicted of the crime and received a prison term of 9–27 years.

Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by MGM Resorts International and was built on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel and casino.
