bella j candle holds a surprise inside

Looking for a unique gift or just feel like finding a surprise? Home and Living recently received a candle from bella j. The fragrance is wonderful, a light warm-smelling scent called “Sugar Rush” which is reminiscent of a vanilla cookie.

The most interesting development however, is what bella j. puts into the wax. As the candle burns—and ours burned for a couple weeks—when we discovered the surprise inside. As the wax level drops a foil package is revealed. Able to be retrieved with tweezers, the soft wax gives up a folded foil pouch with a very tiny jewelry pouch inside. Ours held a charm of the sun in pale gold.

"Ours held a charm of the sun in pale gold..."

We’re told other candles have gold, silver, gemstone and real diamond charms on bracelets or necklaces with a value of up to $1,000 and one lucky customer may find an extraordinary jewel worth $10,000. Alas, that wasn’t us but we enjoy the candle, the soy wax is soft and malleable, the scent delightful and the anticipation of the gift was an extra bit of fun.

bella j. has fragrances from their ‘ocean kissed' Surfshack other sweet mixes, along with eight other colors. Each candle contains 10.5 oz of soy paraffin wax poured in California.

Retailing for $24.99, bella j. candles are available for purchase: visit www.bellajcandles.com.
