Belk Charity Sale this Saturday

Area Belk stores are hosting a charity sale this Saturday, April 16, 2011 to benefit local charities and schools. The promotion only lasts 4 hours, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but the mammoth savings are well worth the early hours. The sale, held at Belk locations in Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, Easley and Spartanburg, will only be in-store, so don't expect these deals online.

Tickets for the event, available in-store, are $5, but that money gets turned around as a $5 discount to you on your first purchase. Enjoy 20%-70% off your favorite items, even rarely discounted ones, in every department from women's clothing to housewares to shoes to children's.

See your local Belk for a full list of the charities being benefitted, but Greenville's Belk is giving their donations to Harvest Hope Food Bank, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, The Ronald McDonald House, and local churches, among dozens others.

Belk has also made the outing even sweeter with Belk gift card giveaways. Each store will give away 100 Belk gift cards valued anywhere from $5 to $1000! One lucky person per Belk Division (for a total of 3 winners) will walk away with a gift card worth $1000. There is no purchase necessary, but supplies are limited and only one per adult customer.

So if you've got some extra tax refund money burning a hole in your pocket, visit your local Belk Saturday morning to get the most bang for your buck while helping local charities. It's a win for Greenville all around!
