Belinda Carlisle Releases New Single "Sun"

Singer, Belinda Carlisle returned to the recording studio to record the new song “Sun” which will be released on March 19 on her complication CD titled ICON (Universal Music Enterprises). This is her first US release in fifteen years!

The new track is exclusively available in stores on the CD, ICON as well as digitally titled, Best Of, both versions bring Carlisle’s biggest hits together on one album.

“Sun” will also be available for download as a digital single as well.

Carlisle stole the hearts of millions when she was the lead singer of the all girl band, The Go-Go’s. The group cemented themselves a 80s women icons with such hit songs as "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed."

Last year, the Go-Go’s reunited with a re-mastered edition of “Beauty and the Beat” CD, a successful “Ladies Gone Wild” summer tour, and a new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This summer the Go-Go’s will be touring again with the B-52s.

Carlisle embarked on her own solo career with her gold-certified solo album “Belinda” in 1986. She hit the top ten at the #3 slot with the single "Mad About You." In 1987 she released “Heaven on Earth” which produced two hit songs “I Get Weak” which landed at #2 and then “Circle in the Sand”. In 1989 her new album titled “Runaway Horses” include the hits "Leave a Light On" and "Summer Rain.”

Carlisle has kept busy with releasing her New York Times Best seller autobiography Lips Unsealed. She launched Belindia, an Indian-inspired home goods textiles company which features designs by Belinda, inspired by her time living in India.
