Believe: Cuarón-Abrams Team

2014 might be THE year for Alfonso Cuarón. We will have to wait until March 2nd to know if he takes home the cherished Uncle Oscar’s statuette, but for now he has won two Golden Globes for “Best Director” and “Best Picture” and a handful of SAG and PGA awards. But the Mexican filmmaker isn’t showing any signs of slowing down! On top of that, Cuarón will be teaming up with the director and producer J.J. Abrams to premiere the sci-fi drama Believe. A sneak peak of the show that will premiere on NBC on March 10th was released this week.

Believe premieres March 10th on NBC

The show starring Jake McLaughlin (Savages, Safe House), Arian Moayed , Jamie Chung , Rob Morgan, and Johnny Sequoyah, is about an unlikely relationship between a gifted young girl and a man sprung from prison who has been tasked with protecting her from the evil elements that hunt her power.

This project sets high expectations for Sci-fi genre fans. We will have to wait to see the results but for now we believe in Cuarón.
