Susanne Alexander-Heaton currently lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She shared her story.
She opened, “Cancer, burn out, loss, I have survived all of these wake-up calls. So many things have occurred that have reinforced my belief in a higher power. I have been given heightened awareness of signs that are shown to me by nature to let me know that I am not alone.”
Susanne is working to help others.
She discussed her book’s message, “My book is designed for children to help them learn in a playful, rhyming manner how to treat themselves, others and the environment with respect. Her advice if you’re coping with cancer, “Don’t blame yourself for getting the cancer. Many new age practices promote this and it does absolutely nothing for a cancer patient. Find out absolutely everything you can about the type of cancer, it helps to empower you to know exactly what you are dealing with. It is okay to be angry. Be willing to ask your doctor questions and ask your friends for help. There are many great organizations out there that deal specifically with cancer patients and can provide complimentary therapies. Select what is right for you.”
