For the next 10 days (Feb. 7th-17th) Ashley's in Westland is celebrating Belgian brews during their Belgian Beer Week. Ashley's will feature a Tap Takeover for several Belgian craft beers as well as feature several events that will be attended by brewmasters from Belgian breweries.
Their Tap Takeover will feature over 120 Belgian brews, you can check out full menu here. With so many brews and styles, you are sure to find something that suits your fancy.
There will be several featured events that include a meet and greet with Belgian brewmasters, a Belgian waffle brunch and brew, and a Belgian trivia event. The complete list of events, dates, and times is located here.
There are many styles of Belgian ales including whits, dubbels, trippels, and sour beers. Many of these styles use Belgian yeast strands which give the brews distinctive banana and nutty flavors. These brews are often made here locally, but the Belgians know their own styles the best.
This is a chance to try brews that you do not normally get a chance to try and you'll get to expand your brew knowledge. So head out to Ashley's and enjoy the Belgian brews with some local flavor.
