Harford County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) deputies have arrested Julius Elmo Montgomery (30) of Bel Air, MD in connection with yesterday’s robbery of the Fallston, MD BB&T bank. At approximately 9:25 am yesterday (Mon, Feb. 6, 2012), deputies responded to a hold up alarm from that bank after a suspect entered the building, approached the teller and displayed a note demanding money.
According to HCSO, the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction by foot, and with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Several employees and patrons were inside the bank throughout the robbery; but fortunately no one was injured.
Ironically, about ½ hour later, HCSO deputies and Baltimore County Police officers responded to a vehicle crash on Baldwin Mill Road not far down the road across the Baltimore County line. The BB&T bank that had just been robbed was also located on Baldwin Mill Road.
“The driver of the vehicle, Julius Montgomery, had evidence on him that was consistent with the BB& T robbery that had just occurred. Montgomery was taken into custody by Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies.” ~ per HCSO
Montgomery is being held at the Harford County Detention Center without bail.
