"Being Human" returns for its fourth season on Syfy next week, and if you want to catch up or rewatch what happened last year before then, you can this week because Entertainment One released season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The "Being Human" season 3 Blu-ray set is four discs, with the season's first 12 episodes spread across the first three. The final disc features the season finale, along with a fun group of special features. As usual now with TV sets, the listings for each disc are written on the inside of the case, so you do have to remove the first and fourth discs to read them, and while an insert may have been more advantageous, as mentioned, it's all too common now.

The set's special features are a Behind-the-Scenes Featurette, the "Being Human" panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2013, "The Cast on Cliffhangers," and a gag reel, with the "Cliffhangers" one being the one to watch if you only have time to watch one before the season 4 premiere. The very short (it's only a minute and a half) featurette shows the cast addressing what happened to each of their characters at the end of season 3, making it a great way to prepare for this season if you don't have time to watch all 13 episodes (or even just the finale).

The two longest features are the Behind-the-Scenes featurette, offering a look at the cast and crew discussing what happened in season 3, along with a look at what went into making a few key scenes, and the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 panel, hosted by Aaron Sagers. If you couldn't make it to the convention or couldn't fit the panel into your schedule over the summer, you're covered. It may not be the best recording and sure, you can hear people in the audience talking at some points, but if you know anything about Comic-Con, it's that that's unavoidable during a panel.

Finally, the bloopers are separated by episode (2:40 for episodes 1 and 2; 2:20 for episodes 3, 4, 7, and 8; and 4:05 for episodes 10, 11, 12, and 13), and if you have some free time, they're worth checking out for a few laughs.

"Being Human" season 4 premieres Monday, Jan. 13 at 9 p.m. on Syfy. Will you be buying season 3 on DVD or Blu-ray to watch before then?
