Vail International Dance Festival -goers are in for a significant debut tomorrow evening: BeijingDance. Founded in 2005, BeijingDance is spearheaded by the artistic direction of Willy Tsao, and features an eclectic, modern variety of dance.

The technically sound dancers will perform their version of Rite of Spring, Stravinsky's famous score. Additionally, they will perform a world premier by internationally renowned choreographer Sang Jijia

Perhaps the reason that BeijingDance is so exciting to watch, and brings such vigor to the stage, is the drive behind their dance. The company was formed as the first dance troupe separate from the government, which is no small feat, and something to be celebrated. The depths of their energy, therefore, comes from an extremely heartfelt place; no wonder the company's name translates as “Thunder Rumbles Under Heaven.”

These stunning dancers take the stage Thursday night, with lawn seats priced at $17, and the remainder of the reserved seating either $55 or $75, based on section.

The company premiers at 7:30 pm at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, in beautiful Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Be sure to arrive early, stroll through the gardens around the amphitheater, have a glass of wine, and take in the gorgeous surroundings before settling in for world class dance.

On a last minute note, dance for $20.10 is tonight – for the reserved seat of this year's price (in honor of the year 2010), celebrating 21 years of international dance in the Vail Valley. Lawn seats are $10 and this family friendly event is a perfect opportunity to expose everyone from novices to balletomanes to the splendor of professional dance.

This year marks the third year of Dance for Everyone, with the preceding years selling out.

Tonight's event starts at 7:30 pm at the Ford Amphitheater as well, and will highlight a variety of dancers and repertoire from the Vail International Dance Festival.

Grab some bread, cheese, wine, and your blanket, and head out to Vail; there's truly nothing like this event, so don't miss out!
