Behind the scenes peek at Cirque du Soleil La Nouba (and how to get your own)

Cirque du Soliel's La Nouba show has been running at Downtown Disney since 1998. Over the years, it's had some changes, with new acts and performers, but one thing remains consistent: the high entertainment factor. La Nouba has breathtaking acrobatics, silly clown antics, and skillful acts that delight both kids and adults.

What does it take to put on the show? Click the video accompanying this article for a peek behind the scenes. You'll meet the new clowns, Pablo and Pablo, who recently joined La Nouba, and singer Selloane, whose voice accompanies the live music that's woven throughout the performance. You'll also witness a trapeze practice session and see some working areas, including the costuming department and the enormous grid that soars 70 feet above the stage.

Normally the general public doesn't get to go behind the scenes, but Cirque now offers L'Experience, a very special night of pampering and peeking behind the curtain to see what it takes to put the show together. You'll see some of those backstage areas, including the costumes, and even meet a La Nouba performer for a special photo opportunity.

When it's time for the show, you get premium front and center seats and popcorn and soda, as well as a fun gift bag of Cirque du Soleil merchandise. Want to buy more souvenirs? You also get a 10 percent off coupon.

This special experience is offered for the 6 p.m. show on Friday and Saturday nights as a cost of $250 per person. The number of bookings is limited to ensure that your experience is personal and enjoyable. Call 407-939-7328 to book L'Experience.

Of course, you'll have a great time even if you opt for the regular show experience. Always come early because the pre-show starts about 15 minutes early, and you won't want to miss the antics of Pablo and Pablo.

Note: the video was shot on a media tour, so you won't see exactly the same things if you opt for L'Experience.
