On March 1 and 2, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., thirty-nine wineries will together produce the celebrated Amador Vintner's Association Behind the Cellar Door wine tasting event. Once the grapes are harvested and wines are made and set to age in the cellars, the region comes alive with visitors out to celebrate what's behind those cellar doors.
A big component of this post-harvest fete will be interactive educational seminars. Along with the usual broad variety of wine tasting and scrumptious bites, nibbles and bowls of well-paired food, there will be a long list of seminars taking place over the two day event. Guests will be able to blend, smell, taste and learn about Amador's vine character from skilled winemakers tending to on-hands education, wine making and sampling fun.
Attending one or many of these seminars that are included in the BCD pass will offer guests opportunities to heighten their appreciation of wine and learn more about the varieties, vines, scents, and blending processes.
