Before and after weight loss photo banned from Facebook

At the beginning of every year, many people succeed at their resolutions to lose weight, and they often post before and after photos on Facebook; however, one mom’s weight loss photo has been slammed by the site as being inappropriate.

Marilyn McKenna, wife of former Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna, was proud of her amazing weight loss accomplishment and posted a Facebook photo of a size 20 pair of pants that she calls her old “fat pants.”

McKenna went from weighing 265 pounds to currently only weighing 145 pounds.

In the photo McKenna proudly fits her entire body in one leg of the pair of paints, but her excitement soon turned to utter shock.

McKenna’s photo was blocked by Facebook, and each time she tried re-posting the photo she got the error message: “Your ad wasn’t approved because it promotes adult products.”

According to KOMO news, a Facebook representative stated that her photo was prohibited because McKenna was attempting to “boost” the post. Facebook considers boosted posts to be advertisements.

McKenna is planning to meet with Facebook to discuss the policy.

In the meantime, she is working on a book that chronicles her weight loss journey.
