A swarm of bees attacked more than 40 children who were on a field trip near Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday. According to The Inquistr on March 9, 2013, the bees came out of nowhere and attacked the children leaving four of the children critically injured.
These were not killer bees, just regular honey bees that swarmed on and around the group of kids who ranged in ages from two to six-years-old. The kids were getting ready to leave a “bunny park,” which is what the kids called the park, and were standing waiting to be loaded on the bus when the bee attack happened.
"They were waiting for a bus when things went drastically wrong. A swarm of bees came out of nowhere and attacked the children," said a spokesperson from the emergency response unit that attended to the children.
The “bunny park,” according to the Inquistr has many customer reviews stating that the bunnies are in “poor shape.” This turned into a nightmare outing for this group of kids and thankfully no lives were lost in this bizarre event.
