Fegley Brew Works, will host a five-course beer lovers dinner on Friday, February 21st. The third year that Brew Works has hosted the dinner, and it features a guest brewer every time; this year's dinner will have offerings from Colorado based Oskar Blues.
The dinner will be held at the Allentown location of Brew Works in the High Gravity lounge and the meal is part of the celebration for Lehigh Valley Beer Week. Attendance for this event is capped at one hundred guest.
The five course meal starts with a welcome course featuring nine-ounces of Always Sunny pale ale from Brew Works with butlered hors d'oeuvres. Three of the next four courses starting with muffuletta sliders, then shrimp and Andouille sausage over grits, followed by crab cakes and dirty rice will be paired with a five-ounce pours from both the host and guest brewer. Desert will be Southern fried beignets and Bananas Foster over home made ice cream.
As part of the beer and dinner pairing, a representative from each brewery will discuss the brew selected for that course during the Lehigh Valley Beer Week dinner
Tickets for the dinner cost $50 per person, and the micro-brewer has sold over half of what is available for the function.
