On Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m., the Birmingham Originals restaurant group will host their Second Annual Beer Dinner at Regions Field (1401 1st Ave South, Birmingham) during a Birmingham Barons game to raise funds and awareness for the Autism Society of Alabama.
The Beer Dinner at Regions Field is a unique experience that allows you to enjoy Birmingham's vibrant baseball, restaurant and craft beer communities all at the same time and place. This beer dinner is served from Regions Field's private banquet hall overlooking third base to give attendees picturesque views of both the ballgame and the city. With the game in progress, attendees get to enjoy a five course dinner that has been prepared collaboratively by ten Birmingham Originals restaurants and paired with beers from five of our state's breweries. The participants are as follows:
Participating Restaurant Pairs
- The J. Clyde and Silvertron Café
- Chez Lulu and Iz Café
- FoodBar and Kathy G & Company
- Homewood Gourmet and The Bright Star
- JoJo's on Broadway and V. Richards
- Avondale Brewing Co.
- Back Forty Beer Co.
- Cahaba Brewing Company
- Good People Brewing Company
- Trim Tab Brewing Company
Courses will be introduced before innings 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, giving the chefs and brewery representatives a little time to speak about the pairings between at bats. This will give attendees ample time to savor each course, learn a little about the pairings and those involved, and enjoy the game between our Birmingham Barons and the Chattanooga Lookouts.
