A beer and sausage diet has one man shedding the pounds while consuming nothing but beer and sausage. According to Fox News live on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Evo Terro drinks up to six beers a day and he enjoys a variety of sausages.
Local CBS reports that this beer and sausage diet has let Terro celebrate Octoberfest for an entire month. If this diet sounds unhealthy to you, you are not alone. Fox News questioned Terro about the health aspect of consuming nothing but beer and sausage.
Terro’s good friend is a weight loss doctor and he is doing this diet under this doctor’s care. He’s even managed to see his cholesterol numbers go down by a third while consuming his beer and sausage. Terro does this diet for a month in October and last year his month-long diet helped him shed 14-pounds.
Terro’s doctor, Dr. Terry Simpson, does his lab work to make sure this doesn’t compromise his health in anyway. If his lab work or blood work indicated a problem, they would shut the diet down right away.
Simpson tells the media that the results of last year’s beer and sausage diet had Terro showing surprising results. Simpson said:
“He blew everything out of the water, the first year he did this, he lost 14 pounds. Most of it was body fat. His cholesterol went down by a third.”
With six beers a day and all that sausage, Terro is consuming about 15,000 calories a week. The only downfall of this diet is that he can’t get behind the wheel of a car because he’s drinking beer. He has a son that drives him around during his month-long diet.
This is Terro’s time of year for drinking nothing but beer and eating nothing but sausage for a month, he does this in October. He said he takes liberties with the sausage part of the diet, he considers breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, Kielbasa and even hotdogs sausage for the sake of this diet.
He also drinks a variety of beer throughout the day. He starts off with a lighter fruity designer beer in the morning, moves on to a regular beer in the afternoon and finishes off with a stout or an ale at night.
