Bed of Roses among OverDrive's most downloaded library audiobooks and eBooks

Those who haven't yet read Nora Roberts' recently released Bride Quartet title, Bed of Roses (October 27, 2009) may want to take note of a new press release from OverDrive. This leading global distributor of audiobooks and eBooks publishes monthly lists of the most downloaded library audiobooks and eBooks from statistics derived from the more than 9,000 libraries in OverDrive's global network.

The company's December 1, 2009 announcement, "Nora Roberts, David Baldacci, and Malcolm Gladwell Surge Onto Most Downloaded Books from the Library List," serves as a reminder that, while the print copies of Roberts works may have long library waiting lists, audiobook and eBook formats of the same titles are often immediately accessible.

Bed of Roses came in third on OverDrive's December 2009 most downloaded adult fiction audiobooks list. Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol appeared in first position on the list with Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife in second place. Roberts' first Bride Quartet title, Vision in White (April 2009), came in ninth.

Bed of Roses also took third position on OverDrive's companion listing of the most download eBooks in the adult fiction category.  As was the case the audiobooks list, Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol again appeared in first position on the eBooks list, but the second most downloaded eBook was James Patterson's Alex Cross's Trial.

OverDrive's "Most Downloaded" lists appear monthly and include both adult and juvenile fiction and nonfiction. They include a complete description of the work and a digital excerpt. The names of all libraries having the book available for download either as an audiobook or an eBook are also included.
