An upper level low will slowly release its grip on the region today with gradually improving conditions and warmer temperatures expected, but a stray isolated shower or thunderstorm is still possible into this afternoon as another disturbance rotates through, especially across eastern areas.

Abundant sunshine is expected on Monday for our Memorial Day holiday as high pressure briefly builds into the region with temperatures once again rising above average into the lower 80’s and a brief period of dry conditions. A backdoor cold front will then drop south into Tuesday with a renewed chance of showers and thunderstorms, which could end up being an active day.
